As a business owner, Jack understands firsthand what it takes to help businesses succeed in our area. One of Jack's top priorities if elected will be to make Concord the most attractive place in the State of North Carolina to do business. Jack recognizes that putting money in the pockets of hard working people is the best means for economic success. He sees Public-private partnerships will be the economic engine for the future of our community. Jack is a supporter of revenue-positive tax incentives, as a way to bolster the city's tax base and keep the overtaxation of private citizens at bay. Bringing good-paying jobs, with sound career paths will be a top priority for Jack once elected.

In doing this, Jack also knows that we cannot leave our small businesses behind. The locally owned companies have roots in this city and are the backbone of what makes Concord thrive. We must help our small local businesses succeed. As a Council member, Jack will propose a City wide campaign to help streamline the grant process for locally-owned companies and help cut through the red tape that prevents these businesses from gaining additional resources.

Keeping Money in People's Pockets

As inflation wreaks havoc on everyday Americans, we must use every tool at our disposal to keep money in the pockets of our citizens. Jack will oppose unjust tax rate hikes, and fight to make sure existing tax dollars go to vital services. Keeping taxes low is not just an economic principle; it's a pledge to empower individuals, encourage entrepreneurship, and fuel the engine of prosperity, ensuring that hard-earned money remains in the hands of those who earned it.

Community Safety

Support Law Enforcement & First Responders

In a growing areas like Concord, the need for a safe community cannot be understated. Keeping our county safe breaks down into countless different parts, and years of community involvement have given Jack a keen understanding of those moving pieces.

Jack will have the backs of our law enforcement. Our First Responders and Law Enforcement deserve our respect and support; while also making sure they are properly equipped with the highest quality tools, training, and education.

As a member of City Council, Jack will support positive police-community outreach programs and make sure to provide competitive incentives to recruit and retain our law enforcement officers and first responders.

Jack believes work must be done to address the opioid and fentanyl epidemic that is running rampant through areas like our region. Jack will take all steps possible, including increasing drug-drop-off days, increasing access to Narcan, putting on community safety meetings, and more to help ensure the number of these dangerous drugs on our street is decreased.

Affordable Housing

Making Concord livable for all

Given the rapid growth of Concord's population, it is crucial that we work towards guaranteeing a dignified life for all citizens. While affordability may have different meanings for different individuals, we must all concur that our neighbors deserve a roof over their heads.

Jack will engage in collaboration with both public and private sectors to create a stable housing pathway for all. Although achieving this goal will require time, Jack's experience with organizations like Cooperative Christian Ministries has equipped him with a solid foundation to tackle this crisis.
